Biography

Born, raised & inspired by my home in the Lake District

Growing up amidst the inspiring landscapes of the Lake District, my artistic journey began with a deep-seated love for making and creating. This passion truly ignited at the age of 14 during an art class project focused on patterns. I became captivated by the power of repetition and the transformative effect of different colour palettes on a single design. From that point onwards, patterns and repetition naturally found their way into all my artistic endeavors.

Abstract Lino Patterns

My main focus, I carve abstract designs into linoleum. I then ink and print these carvings, emphasizing line, shape repetition, and positive/negative space.

Architecture

Artwork inspired by buildings and urban landscapes, ranging from depictions to abstract interpretations of form and space.

Waterprints

Designs using the flow of water for insparation, often resulting in fluid and organic patterns.

Abstract Screen Prints

A form of non-representational art, created by forcing ink through a stenciled screen. My focus lies in colour, texture, and shape.

'Waves' Collection
Evocative and Serene. This artwork captures the tranquil essence of water, reminiscent of Andrew Carter's nature-based creations. The interplay of blues creates a sense of depth and movement, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the calming scene. The emphasis on colour and form echoes Carter's style.
